Wolftones ATL
About
Wolftones is an Atlanta-based DJ collective, the collaboration of RJ Wells (DJ Birthdae Presence) and Keith Hudson (DJ Popatunity), known for their driving, irresistible dance beats and wild, mind-blowing, heart-opening parties.
Wolftones was originally inspired by Atlanta nightlife legend Vicki Powell, who recognized their unique talent for cultivating great vibes and encouraged them to begin DJing, taking their skills to the next level. Since that inception, RJ and Keith have honed a sound all their own, blending house, deep house, disco, nudisco, future house, booty house, and so much more, always bringing unstoppable energy to their sets, and focusing on sounds that spark joy and make you wanna shake dat ass!
Both Birthdae and Popatunity have collaborated with Deep South (ATL) to co-host River Rave, a weekend campout at a local queer owned and operated campground, as well as Honcho (PGH) where the help put on their annual event Honcho Campout. Birthdae was also a resident DJ and hosted several parties at Tokyo Valentino, an impressive three-story sex club in Atlanta. Wolftones has two main annual parties they've held for the last 4 years. Solstice, a 3-day immersive summer campout held every June, gives the feel of a mini-burn, bringing together DJs and attendees from all over the country for a wild romp in the woods where the music and the good times never stop. Halloween, while only a one night event, is nothing short of epic, delivering all the dirty darkness you crave, and lasting through the dawn. All Wolftones events are body-positive, sex-positive, safer spaces for all, focused on bringing all forms of people together to radically express themselves and share their love for music, dance, and each other.
