Mister Red

Mister Red is the stage name of Shane from Ireland. He found his passion for making music a decade ago. He has spent the past decade living and working all over the world, as a human rights worker and creative thinker. And started experimenting with sounds from genres ranging from downtempo to progressive house and psy-ambient. And then discovered the Ecstatic Dance scene on Koh Phangan, Thailand in 2016. He is a regular Ecstatic Dance DJ at Pyramid on the island. Most of his Ecstatic Dance sets can be found on the Soundcloud and Mixcloud link below. He has played in Europe, Asia and Africa.

In the second half of 2019, while experimenting with new sounds, using Ableton, he found a way to express his feelings through the electronic progressive and downtempo side of music, resonating with many kinds of genres, while deeply influenced by ecstatic dance and its multiple layers of borderless music and sound journeys.

Mister Red released his first progressive house track (Forbidden Fruit) on the Uwazi Beats label, which he created in East Africa in September 2019. He has since produced Elderlinks, which was released on Green mono music studio (sub-label of Proton music) on 23.12.2019. And a further track, Belisama was released on the Cafe de Anatolia label on 25.12.19. His debut album - Dune Shadows (a four track EP)- is set to be released under the Cafe de Anatolia label on 28 March, 2020.

He now continues to create music that can hopefully infuse good vibrations in others.
