mattYams, odd name don't you think? It all started off as a misunderstanding as how to say his real name, Matt James. How do you screw that up? Well, it stuck for 10 years. Previously known as djXtrak as a car show DJ for about 6 years all accross the country, Matt fell out of the industry after getting fed up with it. No one wanted to hear the deep down dirty bass that he played and wanted all hip-hop all the time. Not his style. So with regrets, he left.
Enter mattYams. After being out for about 7 years and being inspired by local Atlanta DJ's, Matt came back but with a huge challenge. The scene was overrun with electro DJ's everywhere. So, instead of trying to compete with them he hosts a free online live stream every Monday called "Case of the Mondays" which has grown from nothing to something.
One day he will return to the scene...boom.
