About
Knord, who happens to be a lawyer, began his deejaying career at a small bar in the outskirts of Nairobi called “Psys Bar” playing the classics ranging in hip hop, RnB, Motown and reggae. It was while playing traditional Chicago house music popularly known as” soul” in Nairobi that he developed an insatiable test for house music. His has slowly built his sound to a wide range which includes techno, dub tech, deep, soulful, afro and tribal house strongly influenced by indigenous African sounds.

Knord has played at several venues and festivals including the Alchemist, the Muze, Treehouse & the Terrace as well as featured Sondeka Festival, Santuri Safari and Ubantu (an event curates alongside Dj Somi and Marcus Monroe. Knord has been curating a podcast ”Hollows” on Mixcloud.com that lives up to the mantra of underground deep, soulful , afro & tribal house every fortnight since 2012.
