Jake Tries is a DJ/Producer from Iceland who's been involved in the icelandic music/DJ scene since the age of 18.He began writing his own music only 8 years of age making old school hardcore.When he was 16 he joined an icelandic hiphop group Kritikal Mazz and the released the album „Dark Omen“ on Bad Taste Ltd. He began his dj‘ing carrer at a local club in iceland named Nelly's café, Where he had a residency for two years.
From there he played on a notorious icelandic club called „café Gróf“ where performed for well over a year alongside Ghozt og put himself alongside the best icelandic dance dj‘s. Jake has performed on most clubs in Iceland such as : Broadway, Nasa, Thomsen, Flauel, Hverfisbarinn, Sólon, Glaumbar, John Doe, Tunglið, Casablanca, Spotlight, 7,9,13, 1929/Capone, Trix, Yello, Square and many more.
In 2006 Jake Tries did Electro sets alongside dj‘s as : Dj Lucca, Sander Kleinenberg, Valentino Kanzyani, Fedde Le Grand, Darude, Pendulum, Dirty South, Chris Lake, Tiësto, Dave Spoon and more. He has been able to put the icelandic dance scene to an all new high with his own tunes remix of progidy's "Skylined", Martin Solveig's "Something better and more.Jake Tries has also been working on local radiostation in iceland for 4 years now, these station include : Kiss Fm89.5, Fm 95.7 & Flass Fm104.5
