DJ Shango Da Don

DJ Shango Da Don has been spinning tracks since the age of 13, when he began his trackmaster career on his high school radio station. Since the earliest days of Hip Hop, Shango Da Don has demonstrated an ear for all forms of urban music from underground rap to reggaeton and Afrobeat.
"I'm a DJ in the purest sense. I'm not a turntablist, lol, I'm not Skratch Bastid, or Jazzy Jeff. I'm more of a vibe creator, blendmaster. I like to talk to the crowd, joke with the crowd, get them into it, and keep them into it. I love spinnin' joints with soul, and heart. Sure, I can spin the latest music, but being honest, it just doesn't have the heart of the old school. That's where my joy is. DJs are historians of music, curators of huge archives of songs. I think that kinda sums me up".
Shango Da Don Ragga, or DJ Shango Da Don, resides in Hawaii, and operates an internet radio station, KRUD-DB Rudeboy Radio 808 () which began as a platform for indie artists in 2012, and currently airs 24/7/365. Having DJ'd on concert stages, as well as performed on them as a ragga artist, Shango now enjoys spinning at private events, focusing on RudeboyRadio808's programming and continuing to share his love of the best music ever recorded.
