My music interests began in the 70s as a disco dance instructor, believe it or not. Moving to the city from a small town in Northern Ontario in 1976, I quickly submersed myself into the Toronto club scene, which at that time was disco. A key influence in my life at that time was DJ Wally MacDonald who was the remix artist for Amanda Lear’s ‘Follow Me’ as well as Antonia Rodriguez ‘La Bamba’ Remix [Disco Mix] – Wally Macdonald. In the early 80s, I began working at a nightclub as the lighting technician, this lasting about 5 years before I began the role of Operations Manager for another major nightclub in Toronto. This tenure lasted 10 years. I’ve always had an interest in music but did not actually attempt to take it to the level of a DJ until 2014. My mentor at the time was none other than Ms.Skyrym, Theresa Deane. It's refreshing to find and discover artists who have refined what they do to such an extent as to perfectly represent their own sound. Henceforth, I present myself as a harbinger of universal sounds. There is nothing superficial or elitist about what a dj does - it is pure, accessible music for true music lovers, it is to want, to need, to have, to b -
the music.
