DJ T-Bone has been spinning music professionally since 1996. He earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Radio and Television Communication from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He sharpened his music skills when he landed his first job in radio at WQBH 1400am in Detroit. At WQBH he worked under two radio legends Martha Jean " The Queen" Steinberg and Jay "The Blues Man" Butler. The
Queen" died in 2000, and he is keeping her legacy alive through creative editing of her iconic radio broadcast. At WQBH he sharpened his skills as a board operator, fill-in On-Air Announcer, and audio editor. His humble beginning started when he was a youngster when "The Queen" began teaching him the joy and responsibility of working with music. He can edit audio from any source. He learned by spinning music on technics turntables and recording and editing on reel-to-reel recorders. Yes, he knows how to physically45 degree cut the tape to edit the recordings. He now works as a mobile DJ for weddings, private parties and the local night clubs in and around metro Detroit, MI . He loves every genre of music. He holds one special group of dancers close to his heart. He loves hosting and performing music sets for dancers who love to hustle line dance as well as those who love to Ballroom and Step Dance (Very popular in Detroit and Chicago, IL) all night long. He worked as the main DJ for Dancing Sylvia and Amazing Grace ( S&G) where he would spin music for the dancers. He has held several positions at local television stations in Detroit and Toledo, Ohio. In addition to his work in the local clubs he currently spins the best of the best in gospel music for The Queens Community Workers at the Home of Love for a monthly prayer breakfast and "Live" community events. He loves working in the community. When he's not spinning music he enjoys spending time with family, exercise, and keeping his aquarium fish environment clean and healthy. He volunteers his audio skills at his church on their sound committee just has he has done for many years.
