I just got back from a Photek show and realized that I love the music he made like it was one of my battle buddies in 'nam - but that I was left unfulfilled by his DJ set. Mostly because the guy is an amazing producer - and a really terrible DJ. And that's mostly because he's so involved in how the songs mesh based on his intimate knowledge of every nook and cranny. It's what we peons SHOULD be excited about. But we're stupid. So I made a Photek music all lit up on bourbon and amphetamines that I felt was needed to deal with that. Deal with it. Petition the site admins to add more genres, too. And whatever you do. Vote for everything. Vote for fuckin' Pedro. Better to be discovered by aliens as "one of the good ones" as they try to piece together how yet another society blew itself up.
