Abhi Meer
About
Abhi Meer is an electronic music composer, touring DJ and radio presenter currently residing in Bombay, India. When not buried behind a mountain of patch cables, he plumbs the depths of music through his long, angular DJ sets and regular radio shows. A former music critic, Abhi Meer likens DJing to storytelling - a ruse for exploring fantasy worlds clubbed in with rationale for critical research. His now-distinctive DJ sets are presented via a contagious sense of youthful discovery and a protean mixing style.
Recent shows include include two appearances for Boiler Room, performances at Magnetic Fields Festival, Moogfest, Boxout Weekender, Dutch Modular Fest as well as a slew of DJ residencies and regular club gigs all over India in addition to multiple appearances at radio stations around the world such as The Lot Radio, Red Light Radio, NTS, dublab, Cashmere Radio and more.
As a composer and synthesist, he is currently working on his third long-form experimental music composition - Atlantis Reborn - scheduled to debut in 2021 as an octophonic stage show fusing modern Buchla format synthesizers, vintage organs and exploratory 3D worlds.
