About
Born and raised on the mean streets of GreenFlowerstreet, aalDente, AKA Alex Hennies, started his musical journey when his drug dealer would play mixtapes to him while he was in his mother's womb. It was at this moment that Alex Hennies knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene'.
He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 1998. In 1996, aged 14, his Mum and Dad bought him his first set of decks. At the age of 17, he was already being touted as GreenFlowerstreet's answer to Andy psyteck. He did various warm up sets before the doors opened in clubs hosting major names such as Cosmo, Psykovski ,highko and many more. In 2001, he achieved his big break when he blagged his way backstage at a Netsky Live gig and tripped over the cord to Boris' keytar right when he was in the middle of playing 'Give & Take'. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at big events such as shut up and dance and Sitins@home.
After receiving several offers, aalDente joined BA 96, who helped distribute his first internet release, '' in 2002. Though the single didn't sell as many as he probably would have liked, aalDente is a fighter and since 2023 has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft.
Suffice to say, the psychedelic trance scene should be expecting big things from aalDente in 2024.
