#shutinsound w/ DJ Woody

After a three-month pause (and a brand new hard drive on my music machine), I'm excited to be bringing a new and improved #shutinsound back online and into the ether. Join me Monday night for the next installment where you can expect a trip full of exotic sounds, deep cuts, dubby excursions, and a healthy dose of energy from across the electronic music spectrum. I'll be dropping some Detroit-tinged goodness into the mix, something I wanted to do before the Movement festival but was forced to hold off for this moment. It also commences my new format of mixing 33 tracks, and only 33 tracks, for these #shutinsound excursions. It seems arbitrary but I believe 33 will be the sweet spot, and it will pare down the length of future mixes considerably, allowing me to start a little later (9pm CST) and keeping the mixes a lot closer to 3 hours long. I hope this will allow more of you to hang with me throughout the entire journey.
